Digital Ovulation

Women that have difficulties in getting pregnant may find out that it is due to a decrease in ovulation. A digital ovulation test kits let you know exactly when you will be ovulating and the best time for you to become pregnant.

Ovulation test kits measure the amount of luteinizing hormone (LH) in your urine. LH increases dramatically just before a woman’s most fertile day of the month in a process commonly referred to as the LH Surge. This LH increase triggers ovulation, which means an egg is released from the woman’s ovary.

Some women that use digital ovulation test kits do not always get pregnant right away. Use your menstrual cycle to determine when you have to start using the ovulation kit. These kits will show you a positive sign when you are reaching the peak of ovulation.

The best chance of conceiving a child is three days after you see the positive response from the ovulation kit. If you take medication, you will have to find out if it will cause the kit to show a false reading. If you feel like you need a little help becoming pregnant then you should give ovulation test kits a try.

It is important to know that some infertility treatment medications, such as menotropin, may affect the test result.

No Ovulation

Anovulation is an absence of ovulation when it would be commonly anticipated. Anovulation is a condition that influences between 6% and 15% of all women of childbearing age.

There are a number of factors which can cause anovulation such as; hormonal problems, thyroid problems, pituitary problems and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia & obesity can cause anovulation. Stress such as work pressures or a death in the family can also disrupt the cycle.

An imbalance of hormones can sometimes result in the loss of menstruation and ovulation. Chronic anovulation can also cause partial or complete infertility. Many women who suffer from anovulation find it difficult to become pregnant. The most common anovulation symptom is an lengthened menstrual cycle. Treatments for anovulation range from non-invasive systems such as drug therapy. Fertility drugs such as clomid and pergonal are frequently used to treat anovulation.

Once any other conditions are ruled out, your doctor may want to prescribe fertility drugs that can help your body release the eggs during ovulation. These medications help to block the effects of estrogen in a woman’s body. Aproximately eighty percent of women ovulate after taking fertility medication and half become pregnant within six months.

There is an increased incidence of twins and multiple births with these fertility drugs - up to ten percent of women who take fertility medication will have multiple births (as opposed to the normal rate of one percent).

Ovulation & Fertility

When a woman is at her most fertile, she is likely to get pregnant quickly. If the woman has made love and the sperm of the partner is present in the uterus, the egg and the sperm come into contact and fertilization takes place. However, the important thing to understand is that you are fertile right before you are going to start your period. Therefore, it is important to calculate fertile period.

You are most fertile 14 days before you start your period. Another way to find out your most fertile period is to measure your basal body temperature using a basal thermometer. This is another indication that your most fertile period has started. If you and your partner make love during this fertile period then there is a greater chance that it will result in pregnancy.

On the reverse, women who do not wish to become mothers yet should avoid making love during this period. You can take the help of Chinese calendar or ovulation predictor kit to find out your most fertile period.

Ovulation Days

FertilPlus For Women

Ovulation is the process in which the female egg is released from the ovary. The ovulation days is the ideal time of the menstrual cycle when chances of conception are the highest, women who want to get pregnant need to maximize their chances of ovulation. In general terms, the ovulation days take place approximately 14 days before the start of the menstrual cycle. In a 28-day cycle, the ovulation day takes place on the 14th day. In a 32 day cycle, the ovulation day takes place on the 18th day.

A more accurate prediction of the ovulation day is possible through a more scientific method of determining ovulation. Some of the most popular methods of determining ovulation include The Basal Body Temperature (BBT) method, the Sympto-Thermal method and Device method.

The simplest way to determine the ovulation day is to use an ovulation calculator which allows you to calculate your most fertile days each simply by inserting the first day of your last menstrual cycle as well as the average number of days in your cycle. In order to gain a little more information about your cycle, many doctors recommend calculating the ovulation day by charting your basal body temperature to see when you typically ovulate each month. After charting each month you can compare the charts, thus calculating the ovulation day by the average day your basal body temperature rises each month.

When Do You Ovulate?

Most women have about a twenty eight day menstrual cycle. Ovulation occurs around day fourteen.

Start counting the days of your cycle when menstrual bleeding begins. The first day of your period is day one of your cycle.

If your cycle is irregular, shorter or longer than twenty eight days, then you may get a more accurate ovulation prediction by counting back fourteen days before the first day of your period. The time between ovulation and menstrual bleeding is almost always fourteen days, regardless of the length of your cycle.

There are a number of treatments that can help you ovulate, so you should begin treatment with an infertility specialist if you suspect that you are not ovulating regularly.

How To Regulate Your Ovulation & Boost Your Fertility

Signs Of Ovulation

If you are planning on having a baby in the next 9 to 12 months, the advice I’m going to share with you on the signs of ovulation can save you a lot of time, effort and heartache… and most importantly, help you get pregnant as quickly as humanly possible.

I’m giving you this advice because knowing exactly when you ovulate is the key to shortening the time it takes to get pregnant.  The problem many women face is that they’re having sex at the wrong time of the month, when they are not fertile, and wondering why they’re not getting pregnant.

Ovulation is simply one part of the monthly cycle all women go through during their child-bearing years.   At some point around the middle of the cycle, a matured egg is released from the ovary into the fallopian tube.  This process is triggered by a hormone called luteinizing hormone, which is released in greatest amounts 13-36 hours before you ovulate.

Finding out when you’re ovulating, by measuring the rise in LH can be simple with an ovulation test.  These tests measure the amount of lutenizing hormone in your urine, which is one of the more accurate and scientific methods you can use to work out when you are most fertile.

Although there are many fertility test kits on the market, the more pricey kits are more straight forward to work out, and give you pretty much similar results to what you could get with a laboratory.

Urine-based ovulation tests are very commonplace, and work very well for some women.  There are also saliva-based tests, which do not cost as much as the urine-based fertility test kits, but can provide reliable results.  If you want to increase the reliability of your prediction, you can use the two around the same time, and shorten the amount of time it takes you to conceive.

You can also check your cervical mucus for changes.  Most days of the month, the mucus is thick and stiff in consistency, but while you’re ovulating, it becomes almost transparent , and has a more runny consistency.  It can be very stretchy if you try to pull it apart between your finger and thumb.

Predicting your most fertile time of month, by checking your cervical mucus and looking at fluctuations in your hormone levels is more suitable if you do not have irregular periods.  If there is a problem with your menstrual cycle - and this can include irregularities, excessively heavy periods, light periods, or no periods at all, then you need to take action to regulate your cycle.  One recommendation I make that has proven very successful is to balance the hormones with herbal cleansing and herbs that increase the fertility such as Fertil Plus.

Knowing the signs of ovulation will increase your chances of getting pregnant in the next 12-18 months.   However, taking a few extra steps can boost your fertility can shorten the time it takes you to conceive.

Cleansing your body of toxins can get rid of any substances causing your hormones (and menstrual cycle) to become out of balance.  Taking a herbal remedy - make sure it is organic - can also increase your fertility.  And when you combine the herbal approach with the techniques I shared with you on identifying the signs and symptoms of ovulation, you can guarantee that you will hear the pitter-patter of little feet very soon.
